Fisher Walkden

Year working: 1913 - 1979

He was associated with The Eagle comic for ten years (1949 – 1958) where he drew several strips also some supeb cutaways including motor vehicles. He was also a pioneer slot-car racer and Art Editor of Model Car magazine. He also contributed freelance illustrations for many brochures and advertisements. Walkden Fisher signed his work with a distinctive fish incorporating his name. For a fuller biography see the excellent reference by Bear Alley below. In March 2017 Burstow and Hewett auctioneers sold several lots of his archives. One lot contained 17 motor racing drawings
